Today’s Totally Random Lines
Now see what good turns eyes for eyes have done:
Mine eyes have drawn thy shape, and thine for me
Are windows to my breast, where-through the sun

Sonnet 24 Third Quatrain
The eyes have it! Today we have a sonnet
about eyes. I had thought to give you the whole sonnet, but after reading it
again I’ve decided that these four lines are the best anyway, so let’s just
stick with them. The first two quatrains just talk about the eyes being the artist
that paints a portrait of you that hangs in his heart. Then after today’s four
random lines about what the eyes can do, he finishes with the two line
conclusion about the limitations of eyes:
Yet eyes this cunning want to grace their art,
They draw but what they see, know not the heart.
So, to sum it up, I repeat, the eyes have it. Or do they?
